We’ll be in touch via email to confirm receipt of your application and to let you know if/when your application is reviewed, if you are selected for an interview, or to inform you of the outcome of your application. Timing varies based on which positions are open for the locations and positions that you selected in your application. Keep checking your email for messages from Vail Resorts Careers. 

Have I been selected for the job?

When hired, Grand Teton Lodge Company sends out offer letters indicating your start date and end date. This is sent by the hiring manager who conducted your interview.

If you are no longer being considered for the position you will receive an email from Vail Resorts Careers if you are not selected to move forward in the hiring process. 

I am a returning SIS employee, do I need to complete the Law Violation Question or background check?

If you are returning to a job that requires an annual background check or Law Violation Question, you will need to complete it before your expected return date. You’ll receive an email from PeopleConnect@Vailresorts.com with a link to submit your Law Violation Question or background check through Verified Credentials, our background check partner. 

Background Check or Law Violation Question (Email 1)

Congratulations on your new position with Vail Resorts! After you are offered a position, you’ll need to complete a background check or answer the Law Violation Question. Right after receiving your job offer, expect an email from vailresortscareers@vailresorts.com with instructions on how to complete. Please note that background checks can take anywhere from one to 14 days to process.

New Employee Setup (Email 2) Also includes link to housing sign up

After you complete the background check or Law Violation Question, you will receive an email from vailresortscareers@successfactors.com with the subject line: Welcome to Vail Resorts: Complete New Employee Setup. 

What if I never received this email?

Final Onboarding Forms (Email 3 sent 2 weeks before start date)

Within two weeks of your start date, look for an email from vailresortscareers@vailresorts.com with the subject: Complete Your Final Onboarding Forms.  This email will also contain your login information for Vail Resorts’ employee systems and your employee ID number.

These forms give us the information we need to make sure you get paid, so make sure you complete them before your first day!

What documents are needed to start work and check in with Human Resources?

When you check in for work, you will need to bring in original, unexpired work authorization documents (no copies). Review the list of acceptable documents here and make sure you have them available. Vail Resorts is an E-Verify participant, so if you bring in a list B document it MUST contain a photo. 

Benefits Information

If you are eligible to enroll in benefits, you will receive an email from vail.resorts.welcome@vailresorts.com with instructions on how to enroll and information about your Benefits & Perks. This email will be sent shortly after you receive your Final Onboarding Forms.
